HERSCHEL C. 'BO'
ADCOCK, JR.

President/Owner

Herschel C. Adcock, Jr. was born in Monroe, Louisiana and has resided in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for more than 45 years. He opened his private practice in 1989, which is now known as The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock, Jr., LLC.

Herschel C. Adcock, Jr. received his Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in 1983 and his Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University in 1986. He is admitted to the Louisiana State Bar, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Middle, Western and Eastern Districts of Louisiana.

Professional memberships are maintained in the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Legal and Financial Network (AFN), Mortgage Banking Association (MBA), Louisiana Mortgage Banking Association (LBA), and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys (NARCA). Mr. Adcock is a member of Parkview Baptist Church and former President of the Southeast Kiwanis Club of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

COREY J. GIROIR

Corey J. Giroir was born in Houma, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Nicholls State University in 2006 and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans in 2010.

Corey joined The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock, Jr. in 2012 after gaining experience in both insurance defense and foreclosure law. Corey is admitted in all Louisiana state courts and frequently travels the state representing the firm’s mortgage banking clients.

Corey focuses his practice on default resolution and real estate litigation. Corey and his wife attend St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plaquemine, LA.

PATRICIA A.
BLANKENBAKER

Attorney

Patricia A. Blankenbaker was born in DeRidder, Louisiana. She earned her AA in Paralegal Studies and her BA from McNeese State University. She was employed as a Real Estate Paralegal for 15 years. In 2011, She received her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was the recipient of the CALI Award for excellence for both Real Estate Transactions and Civil Law of Property. In 2011, she was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. She is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta, and Phi Alpha Delta.

Stacy Wheat

Attorney

Stacy Wheat was born and raised in New Orleans.  She attended the University of New Orleans (B.A.) and attended Loyola University Law School where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review and graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 1989.  She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association,  all Federal Courts in Louisiana, as well as the United States Federal Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. 

Ms. Wheat  has more than 30 years’ experience in both commercial and residential foreclosure, bankruptcy and real estate law concentrating on representing creditors in all aspects of real estate transactions,  foreclosure and bankruptcy litigation in both state and federal courts.

When she is not in the office, Ms. Wheat enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and volunteering as a board member of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. 

ALICIA B. COOK

Attorney

Alicia B. Cook was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is a current resident of Watson, Louisiana.   She received her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2003.  While working full time as a Sheriff’s Deputy, she attended Law School and in 2010 received her Juris Doctor degree from Southern University Law Center.  She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in October 2010.  She continued to work for the Sheriff’s Office until she secured her retirement in 2013.

After gaining experience as debtor’s counsel, Alicia joined The Law Offices of Herschel C. Adcock, Jr., LLC in 2017.  She is currently a member of Louisiana State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, as well as, the United States District Courts for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana.  Her areas of practice are primarily bankruptcy, collections and replevin.

RONNIE BERTHELOT

Attorney

Ronnie Berthelot was born in Lutcher, LA.  He graduated from Louisiana State University in 1973 with his Bachelor’s degree and earned a Master’s degree in 1975 in Exercise Physiology.  After teaching for several years, Ronnie went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University in 1982.

He has over 35 years of litigation experience in many areas of law, including commercial litigation, banking, and collections.  Ronnie is Martindale-Hubbell AV rated.  He is a admitted in all state and federal courts in Louisiana.

Dennis F. Wiggins, Jr.

Attorney

Dennis Wiggins, Jr. works as our Collections and Evictions Attorney.  He was born and raised in Louisiana, living in both South Louisiana and North Louisiana.  After 4 years living in Texas for high school, he returned home to pursue his education in Baton Rouge.  

An LSU and SULC graduate, he is rooted in this community and has been since 1999.  Additionally, he is an active member of the Golden Guys, a charity organization that raises money for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital through parade performances and nursing home appearances.

Julie Ham

Attorney

Julie Ham was born and raised in New Orleans and has resided in Baton Rouge since 2005. She attended Southern University Law Center where she was a member of the SULC Law Review. Her law review article was published in the 50th edition of the SULC Law Review Journal. Julie graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor in 2024.

Julie was the recipient of CALI Awards in Family Law, Succession, Law and Medicine, Federal Income Tax, and Workers’ Compensation.

She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. Julie is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, as well as the Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana.
